Project Overview
Set within a four-storey Victorian townhouse in Queen’s Park, the Croxley Road project is a study in refined materiality and tailored spatial design. In collaboration with Studio Skey, Object Atelier delivered a suite of bespoke joinery pieces that seamlessly integrate with the home’s classic-contemporary interior scheme. The result is a residence that balances architectural heritage with modern functionality.
Furniture Design Approach
Working closely with Studio Skey, Object Atelier brought a refined, tactile sensibility to the project. The design focused on creating a space that feels grounded, warm, and considered - balancing residential utility with crafted detail.
The joinery scope included:
A kitchen and island crafted in rough-sawn fumed oak veneer, offering a rich, textured finish that anchors the open-plan living space
Walk-in wardrobes finished in spray lacquer, elevated with inlaid fabric panels that introduce softness and depth
Micro cement bathroom vanities that blend modern aesthetics with durability, perfectly complementing the home's contemporary bathroom design
Materials and Palette
The material palette was curated to evoke warmth. The fumed oak veneer introduces a natural, textured element, while the spray lacquered finishes provide a sleek contrast. Inlaid fabric panels add a layer of softness, and the micro cement surfaces in the bathrooms offer a modern, durable finish. This combination of materials reflects a commitment to quality and an understanding of the home's architectural context.
