Case Study: Chapter House - Precision Joinery for a Modern Office Fit-Out
Project Location: Old Street, London
Project Scope: Bespoke tea point, island, and drinks unit joinery
The Chapter House project was a collaboration between Object Atelier and Whitepaper to deliver tailored joinery for a contemporary office space in Old Street, London. The brief focused on functionality, durability, and visual harmony - delivered through premium materials and precise craftsmanship.
Project Highlights
Tea Point
A clean-lined, minimalist unit designed to integrate seamlessly into the office environment. Its streamlined form offers both practicality and sophistication.
Tea Point Island
This central element adds a sense of openness and flow. Combining tactile finishes with ergonomic detailing, the island serves as a focal point for team interaction.
Drinks Unit
Purpose-built for sleek storage and day-to-day functionality. The design balances sharp, modern lines with warm material accents, contributing to a cohesive workspace aesthetic.
Material Palette
To achieve a refined, contemporary feel, we worked with:
Fenix® F2200 Dark Chocolate Laminate - matte, fingerprint-resistant, and incredibly durable
Roma Oak Ribbed Panelling by Surface Studio - adds warmth and texture to the sleek design
Hi-Macs® Solid Surface - seamless, hygienic, and low maintenance for everyday use
These materials were carefully selected not only for their beauty but for their resilience in a high-use commercial environment.
Result
The outcome is a polished, highly functional workspace that blends modern aesthetics with precision joinery. Every detail was considered - from tactile finishes to seamless integration - creating a workplace that’s both elegant and practical.
